The Mayo Clinic has said that up to 1/3 of Americans are gluten intolerance, this is difficult to diagnosis. Some signs are asthma, skin problems, digestion problems, and appendectomy. When you have gluten intolerance your digestion is destroyed and difficult to absorb essential nutriments but no problem with sugar and calories. If you find that even medicine taken by mouth dose not work properly it might be a sign you are not absorbing. Even if you eat the perfect foods and supplements you will not be able to absorb any. The inability to absorb essential minerals, vitamins, amino acids, and fatty acids would be devastating to your health.
