Okay, Santa, now that you've had enough pie, where's my cat? 🤔 I don't care if he's wild. I never met a cat I couldn't handle. Trust me, I'll turn him into a sweet ol' pussycat in no time. 😆😉

Some animal shelters have online websites with pictures of adoptable cats and dogs. Maybe there is one in your area.

Well, Santa did an exhaustive search, and given what Santa knows about you, it was doubtful that any of the prissy white domestic types were gonna satisfy you. However, if you prefer the wild type, then you may not want to change that about him. Just treat him kindly and I'm pretty certain he'll stick around. They are smart enough to know a good thing when they find it.

A real cat would require a lot of care I'm not able to give anymore. Figurines only need dusting now and then.
You're right about the care and good for you for being that responsible to think like that. Our little dog is 15 now and I've decided there will be no replacements when he passes on. My daughter already has three of her own and soon two little kids and I don't want to ever put her on the spot like that.

We're kind of in the same boat, our dog is 12 and we shouldn't get anymore (we never had kids so definitely no one to take a dog after we're gone). Oh, boy do I dread the thought of not having a dog, though.

Well, a new record player would be my ideal gift - so electronic, I guess?

However, the upgrade for me would be around $6K cost wise - so I won't hold my breath. :D

I know what you mean. We've had animals of all kinds since I moved away from home in my teens. We'll still have a cat for a while because he's a little younger than our dog, but the day will come when there's no more fur balls demanding attention and I can't even imagine how weird that will feel.
