@Tish I appreciate that hug! I need one about now. I'm so worried and sad, too. Suzy is back on the medicine for coughs which I think helps her quite a bit.

Thank you for the hug @MarciKS I certainly can use them now. The poor little doggie doesn't deserve this but it hasn't gotten real bad yet. Trying to do all I can to keep it that way.

Thank you for your post. I have to take a look at the link. It's touch and go right now. It can be fatal but I hope the Vet and I can keep it from progressing more. It has already progressed but I mean we try to still keep it from getting a lot worse

I just read your link and that is not what Suzy has been diagnosed with. There are no cases of it reported in my state. She has some different symptoms too but thank you for your concern.

Thank you. That's true. I keep petting her when she has an attack. It helps relax her and the attack stops pretty soon after. She is a real trooper, very sweet and always happy. She has learned to come to me for a relaxing petting when she gets an attack.

But this has made her frightened.

Hi Ruthanne, and I'm so sorry! Poor thing. I'll send a prayer up for her healing. I searched for tracheal collapse and it seems like a number of dogs get it in their old age?
