They're getting kinda pushy- just received second notice- it said I "recently" received one.. yes, I got it on Saturday!

I just got mine Sat. and did it yesterday online and got another one in the mail today. LOL

Aren't they still doing visual person to person census anymore now?

Only for people who don't respond to the letter. Why would they? Hiring an army of census workers would cost the taxpayers millions of dollars.

I received a notice in the mail to fill it out online or wait until mid-April for one in the mail, I'll wait for the hard copy.

Did mine online. Took maybe 1 minute. Just a few questions and I was done. I was going to work as a census taker one year but they assigned me to an area of Houston I was not comfortable being in by myself. They say they will put you in your own zip, but not so.

The hardest part was scrolling down to the year I was born!!!!

I could have sworn they used to ask things like how many bedrooms in the house, and how many bathrooms. But it was just how many live there, and how old, and do you own your own house. Pretty simple.

I did our online last Friday and it only took a couple of minutes.
Both of us had to select our ethnic background. I am a true mongrel according to Ancestry and wound up going with Irish. My mix includes Finish, Norwegian, French, Irish, Spaniard, and a little bit of Hindu. I am rather proud of that Hindu.
She went with Polish, but she could have selected Irish, Portuguese, or Japanese according to Ancestry.

I put American. I was born in Pennsylvania; otherwise I would have put Texan.

My form was internet only but it did say that if they did not hear from me in two weeks they would mail me a form to complete.

It also said that if I failed to respond they would eventually send a census taker to my door.

I was tempted to wait so I could imitate Betty White's responses.

I just completed the census online since I felt it would arrive past the original deadline if I mailed it. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy and quick it was. The sometimes unwelcome glitches that prevent submitting online forms after taking time to fill them out, thankfully did not happen.
