US Inflation / cost of living

Making a lot of slow cooker meals that we usually get three meals out of them. Have a couple in freezer right now. A package of stew beef can go a long way. We try to buy the BOGOs whenever possible. Still, our grocery budget seems to not be enough each week.

labor is no different than supplies.. it is supply and demand you need labor we supply and demand mo money cause we need to keep up with the rogers down the street who own a two story mansion, drive bentleys, have 6 kids in private school, wall to wall tv and the latest game consoles....

Since Easter is over I found lamb on a managers special. Half price. Date is good, the 16th.
We're having lamb today! šŸ

Even working part time, I do OK. I could spend less on food. I'll probably spend plenty on berries when the farmer's market amps up.

I have 2 cats one with recent vet bills. I feed 3+ ferals all out of my own pocket.

The rent will probably go up again this year if California allows another increase and I haven't moved to a mobile. Where I'll still pay rent of course. It's the summer electric bill I'm concerned for. I keep the AC on 81-82.

I hope the car keeps going for now.

How is inflation affecting you? What do you to combat it?
I use Aldis grocery store as much as possible.
I still work, so I bring oatmeal with fruit for breakfast, leftovers for lunch every day.
We use the instapot or slow cooker for supper. We rarely go out to eat, and try hard not to waste food. The grocery prices have gone up substantially. Publix is a nice store, but their prices are cost-prohibitive.
