I think that this is quite possible . We already know that our technology is much further advanced than what they show us on the news, plus with all the new possibilities connected with genetic modification and cloning; I think the military of the future may depend a lot more on remote controlled devices like the drones, and specially designed robotic types of soldiers.
We already have those little spy drones that buzz around and look like a large mosquito or dragon fly. They can probably even shoot people with those little things, as well as take pictures, and listen to conversations.
 
I am liking the idea that everyone will refuse to join the military...in all countries... As in John Lennon's "Imagine"...'some say that I'm a dreamer...but (I KNOW) I'm not the only one..'. there will always be 'wars' but fought more for economic reasons, power, and control (as always) ... in the name of 'serving god and country' ... but better fought by non human drones...or the leaders and politicians of our countries...
