Or other college students. Don't even get me started on safe spaces and cry rooms... I'm not so sure the college students in coddling schools are going to have adequate emotional development to survive work environments.

Eighteen to mid-twenties can still be "young and stupid" young adults but that's part of learning how to be full-fledged adult.

When I was 18, I was required to sign up for the draft. If Nixon had not stopped the Vietnam War, I could have been dropped in a rice field with a machine gun to fight for someone else's freedom. If an 18 year old is mature enough to handle war, why would working as a trucker be more difficult?

I'm glad you didn't have to go but so many young did. Excellent point you made.

While sure there are some immature 18 year olds, there are many who could benefit greatly from the job.

18 year olds are legally qualified to train for driving heavy combat equipment in the military:
