Use eye drops in public

Another thought might be - - -if I feel the need to ask about some personal procedure that I have to do - - -better to do it in private or in a somewhat secluded spot. just by asking, it would tell me that I, myself, have some discomfort with "whatever" in public.

My wife has to use eye drops 4 times a day and she tends to pick her times and rarely has an emergency need for them. I can see where that could present a problem.

It might bother some people so it shouldn't be done in public.

Best do it in the restroom. It only takes a few seconds.

Tampon insertion is another topic.
So, if my nose was running and it might bother someone if I blew it... should I wait and run to the bathroom to blow it ? Or should I consider the fact that if I didn't, it might bother someone that snot was running down my face. (Sorry for the visual) I don't know you but I don't see you as someone who would really give a care. I agree with your last comment.....LOL:cool:

If you face a wall while doing it, it shouldn't bother anyone out in public.

They can't see your eyeballs. I do know some people are squeamish and can't put drops in their own eyes when needed before and after a cataract operation.

They have to get someone else to do it.

This is a bit off topic but yes, some people do have to get someone else to put eye drops in after cataract surgery. I was doing that for my husband and accidentally grabbed his dog's ear mite medicine, which he had on the shelf next to him. We called the poison hotline and they said it was OK. I can't recall if they had us rinse it with anything or not. After we read the ingredients to the lady she said it was OK, and you know, 3 or 4 years later he's still seeing OK. Thankfully we were not out in public when we did this.

Did he bark or just growl?
