Using a tape measure to get your waistline size..

I have a tape for measuring my waist handy but don't use it often.
However weighing myself is one of the first things I do when getting up each morning.
Also I eat a high complex carbohydrate diet and have been doing so for at least the last 50 years.

that is excellent discipline John :)

If I made it a habit to weigh daily, I might be sad, OR it would
encourage me to take off some pounds, BUT I always know what
I weigh and only get on the scales once a week, also my cats
Veterinary Clinic is nearby, and so I pop in to pic up meds etc
and they let me weigh there also, as they smile. It always matches
my scale and my doctors office scale.

Nope, I don't worry about it. If I try it on and it is comfortable, it is the right size. I also will say the person who invented elastic and stretchy jeans gave us the most wonderful gift, my waist and I appreciate it very much!!
I will agree, and if I try it on and it's comfortable, it is the right size for me,
and elastic stretchy jeans are are wonderful and my waist appreciates it also
lol.

I think I use a tape measure a few times a year and I weigh myself on a scale every couple of weeks. I use to weigh 110 lbs or 104 lbs at my lowest at 5 ft. 4 in in my twenties, thirties - my waist was 24 inches at that time. Now I'm 5 ft 2 in, go figure? and I try to keep at 122 lbs approx. My waist is approx 30 in now. I'm trying to just eat when I'm hungry and stop when I'm satisfied. I try to get out and go walking during the week too. I don't drive, so I walk everywhere.

Tape measures are so helpful to keep around home,
I use mine for all sorts of misc stuff..

4 years ago when people that were fat were more likely to die from covid I went on a diet and lost 50lbs. I have been exercising for 40 years but that doesn’t matter if you eat too much. I weigh myself daily so if I start to gain weight I can cut back.

Years ago I kept the weight off by using the Steam Room at my health club. Good for hangovers, too!
