Using Opposite Gender bathroom

I'll leave my stories of going into the men's restroom by mistake for some thread on embarrassing situations. I did recently go into the ladies restroom at Target and an old man was in there cleaning it. He looked about 80 but surely he wasn't that old. Anyway, he seemed sort of shocked I went ahead and came in there and he said "I'm cleaning in here" and I smiled and nodded to him and went ahead into a stall and of course, locked the door, and did my business. I figured it if came between me wetting my pants or having to whip an old man I'd take whipping the old man. :) When I came out he was gone and waiting outside the main door. He wouldn't make eye contact with me when I came out. I thought about saying "My gosh, you haven't heard any body peeing before?" but I didn't.
 

Some places, like Trader Joe's have neutral bathrooms. Non designated.

I went to a large quilt show once at a convention center. 90% plus were females there. The line for any women's bathroom was long. I thought they should have made some of the men's bathrooms women's for this event. There was absolutely no line for the men's bathroom.
 
I've been in a few restaurants that have non-designated restrooms. It didn't seem to be a problem.
 

Once I entered the men's washroom by accident at work, and I noticed it stank quite strongly of urine, I guess you can guess why. Some pubs I've been in have unisex washrooms, that's ok, especially if they are kept clean, but I've seen some pretty disgusting holes too. Given a choice I prefer to use designated women's washrooms.
 
All free standing public Toilets located in the city .( Adelaide ) ...are unisex they are self cleaning and have a time limit on use ..
We have one the same in our main shopping area in a town of about 4.500 people, I have ever used it or seen anyone coming or going, as there is a toilet very close by in Target I use if I really have to .
The town/ city where we go for a month in the winter (Qld) has recently built a unisex toilet/cold shower facilities not far from a popular surfing beach ,it also has showers on the outside of the building. We have seen people having a shower on the outside at night as its located in the large open,well lit park area near the back entrance to large club we attend for entertainment while away .
 
Well, we're talking "potty parity" here. Women need more stalls than men. Most of the time all a man does is face the facility, unzip, remove the "delivery system", do their business, give it a shake and rezip. I can tell you that if they were wearing girdles, panties, panty hose, slacks that have to be lowered, and skirts that have to be raised, they wouldn't be in and out in a flash. Not to mention that men tend to not wash their hands and they certainly don't spend much time fussing with their hair and makeup.

The state of Tennessee passed the "Equitable Restrooms Act" to set a formula for the male to female facility ratio. The LP Fieldhouse in Nashville was built under this act with 288 stalls/urinals for men and 580 for women. Apparently, this was an overreaction as men's restrooms had lines and ladies' rooms didn't. So an amendment was passed to jimmy the ratio around a little for "stadiums, horse show facilities and auto racing venues".
