I didn't know that adults are supposed to get a Tetanus shot every ten years . A nurse just told me about it .

I also see TV ads about getting your kids a HPV vaccine,too . Isn't that supposed to prevent cancer ? I didn't know cancer can be prevented ! They don't tell you alot about it , but they insist you and your kids NEED it !

Sheesh .... Advertising ..... :mad:
 

Cancer isn't just one disease. There are many types of cancer, and many causes. At least one type, I think cervical cancer, is caused by a virus. It's wonderful that they have a vaccine for it.

Yes the HPV vaccine. The virus is not the cancer,but it alters the cells to allow the cancer to propagate. It was a big political football 15 or so years ago. One side claiming that having your child, male or female, vaccinated was removing one more barrier to illicit sex and tantamount to encouraging promiscuity.


I saw an interesting one the other day. Men; Did you know that if your ***** is curved,you have a disease? I was always told it just curved toward your hand of preference. This was not a fly by night supplement commercial either.
