Vegas !!!

Saw that on the news, they give me the heebeejeebies! We get some here In Co., but not too bad, one summer grossed me out, seems they were all over my yard, house and even on the front sidewalks. Hate when they fly. 😧
 
I'd be completely grossed out. I hate grasshoppers -- not only do they chew on your plants, but I hate it when they fly up at you. I'm not sure I could make myself go out in the middle of a mess like that.

A couple of years ago we had a bunch of them here -- lots more than usual -- -but nothing like those news photos show in Vegas. YUCK!
 
Kind of sounds like the love bugs that Florida experiences each May. I stopped at a convenience store in Land O’ Lakes and I saw this man outside “sweeping” them into a pile. There were hundreds or maybe thousands of them in that pile. On top of that, they make a mess of your car. The client rep at Enterprise Car Rental told me that they have to scrub the front end of the cars that are returned during May and sometimes in September.
 
We have the love bugs here in Houston, too. Some years are better than others. Its been a few years since they were rampant here in the Clear Lake area.
