very old matches and matchbooks

I used to collect matchbooks wherever I traveled, though I didn't smoke or use them
My matches are mostly from diners and nightclubs over 45 years old, and guess what? Some still work.
They are still intact and kept in a drawer. Of course, most are no good now.

Oh, I have a whole collection too! Mine are from the 40's and 50's. Strange because i never did smoke!
Also had a huge collection of churchkeys but someone stole them.

Interesting. I never thought to collect matchbooks from all the clubs and hotels and resorts we played in when I worked as a musician full time. That would have been a very compact means of remembering all those places.
