Video of a brazen daylight auto theft which shows a suspect running over a victim in a stolen luxury SUV has been released by police west of Toronto.

Peel Regional Police say that at approximately 2 p.m. on Sept. 6, the suspect, described as a five-foot-five South Asian woman, arrived at the victim’s residence near Winston Churchill and Eglinton Avenue.

An attempted murderer along with being a car thief-pos. And announcing criminal intention does not minimize the crime. Hope the victim recovers.

In the US many stolen cars wind up at a port and are shipped over seas. It would be risky to take a stolen car across the border so the thug is probably taking the car to port or even airport for overseas shipping.

Same thing here in Canada. They end up in the port in Montreal and shipped over seas.

Sounds very familiar! I once parked my car in an isolated place in NYC attempting to avoid the rampant stealing of gasoline that was going on when gasoline prices had been hiked, and I found it with its four wheels removed and many of its engine parts missing the next morning.

I was as advised by a neighbor that I was risking my life if I would dare to approach the thieves during the theft. I was later informed that my former wife's brother had been caught stealing a car, and had mercilessly bludgeoned the owner into unconscious with his nunchucks in response.

I wonder how they'll charge her. Attempted murder? Obviously, she intentionally backed over that poor man.

No question that she's not right in the head and, at 18, already has a criminal history. I foresee this kid spending a lot of years behind bars.

Me too. He has to be very bruised up and sore.

GoneFishin, when or if this ever goes to court, please tell us her punishment. Being cynical, I’m not expecting much.
The story hit national news sources in the US including the NY Post so follow up will eventually come.

It's a miracle the victim isn't in worse shape. If it was an electric power Porsche he very easily been since they're heavier vehicles.

The youth including young adults are extremely brazen and seem to have few boundries, respect for their victims or the law.
