Why isn't forest management clearing those out?!

You probably recall in the old days, natural wildfires did the job just fine. In fact, it was considered necessary. But starting about 40 years ago, they got quick to put natural fires out. And that's a big part of the problem.

Investigators are now looking at a freight train as the cause of this fire.

In heat like we were having, why were freight trains allowed to continue operating?

Sparks off the wheels and out of the smoke stacks.

If investigative digging finds a freight train at fault, I hope the company has to absorb the total cost to rebuild the entire town (and then some).
