When so much of the news is so horrific these days, I was encouraged this morning by reading a good news story about a young Canadian woman who was born extremely prematurely in Australia thirty years ago. She is coming to Australia to reconnect with the doctors who saved her life and the woman who kindly took in her parents and cared for them as her own until the baby was ready to travel back to Canada.
I have a niece who was also frightenly premature and I know how terrifying it was to watch her in her humicrib as her fragile ribs struggled to keep her alive.
Read the story and remind yourselves that there are still good people in the world who sustain life and care for strangers in need.
