Walmart Express Delivery is great

I've wanted to try WM delivery but haven't yet because curbside pickup is perfect and they do a great job with choosing my food. Is Express Delivery different from their regular delivery and does that require a WM+ account? I know regular delivery doesn't.

Yeah, you order under Walmart Express Delivery and choose the time frame and they deliver it. Works great.

I am finding that a lot of Amazon prices are now higher than WalMart’s. There is no Walmart less than a 30 minute drive from my home so I don’t go there very often. But, their delivery service for things I order online makes it viable for things I don’t need immediately.

The good thing about Amazon is that I can return a product easily at the local Whole Foods store. Driving to Walmart to return it is an hour round trip and a lot of gasoline burned.

Yeah, you are right, Amazon can get pricey for no reason. You have to watch their prices. But they have a large selection.

Agreed about Amazon vs Walmart pricing. I always check both.

I do pickup because my usual grocery shopping route goes within half a mile of WM. Sometimes they need to ship something, but it's always free delivery because I make sure to place orders totaling over $35.

When/if I get to the point of driving less or not at all, I'll probably pay for their express delivery.

Grocery delivery services can be a godsend.

Walmart actually also has a service where you can allow them to bring the items in your house and put them away. They call it InHome. It is an extra charge but would be good for some disabled or elderly people.

"
Walmart associates performing InHome deliveries wear vest cameras so customers can watch the delivery live or later.
  • A Walmart+ InHome explainer states that deliveries are made by associates “who wear vest cameras throughout the delivery.”
  • A Business Insider report also confirms:
Walmart employees will deliver groceries into your fridge and “wear body cameras so you can watch them doing it.”
"

"
Walmart InHome uses smart locks or myQ smart garage systems to allow controlled entry.
  • Walmart’s own device page describes the system as:
“Safe & secure delivery into your kitchen or garage… with a secure smart device.”
It highlights Level smart locks and myQ Smart Garage Control as the access methods.
  • Another official description explains:
Walmart+ InHome uses a myQ‑connected smart garage door opener and gives associates one‑time access to open and close the garage during delivery.
  • A Homebase/Walmart partnership page states:
InHome provides secure deliveries “using your unit’s smart lock.”

Express delivery costs more. So if you're paying $10 for regular delivery, it's another $10 for express. And no guarantee with that if the Spark drivers pass you around cuz it's not worth their gas.

The whole point of Walmart plus is the free shipping and delivery. And yrs express is separate from Walmart plus.

Correct me if I am wrong....Walmart express delivery is same day within a couple hours. It does cost me around 20 dollars but that includes the 10 dollar tip.
Walmart plus is not same day and requires a membership of 13 dollars a month?

Without the tip it's $10 and around here it isn't always in the 1 hour. If the Spark delivery people don't feel you've ordered enough to make it worth their while they will keep handing your order off. Also Walmart plus is same day. If you get your order in before they run out of time slots. Up to noon to 2 pm is 2 hours and from that point on it's 3 hrs. I ordered express in 1 hr and waited 2 hrs before my stuff arrived. So it's basically just a money grab. I only use it if I am in need of having something that fast.

Yes, mine is Walmart plus, and you can get deliveries on the same day as ordered, I try to order on days that I think they will not be so busy and always order as far out as possible...I live 16 miles from my Walmart so sometimes they are making 2 or three deliveries on one run..I can watch their progress and stops on the app as they tell you when they are leaving, I have a table set up in the garage for deliveries that makes it easier for me as my deep freeze is out there.

Either way it is good that we are talking about it.
Some could use if they have problems with disability or transportation.
It is also an alternative if you have a lot of the flu bugs running around in your area.

when the weather is bad it gets trickier to get groceries this way though.
i have no car so i have no choice. i'm glad they offer walmart plus. their shipping situation is kinda odd. sometimes it takes forever to get something. i think i waited a month for a box of masks to come from hawaii. there was no masks closer? idk. the routing is strange like i ordered something from another state

and it came through kansas city and literally went to another state or two before circling back to kansas.
