I'm not mistaken. Calling a rifle because it is automatic instead of semi automatic an assault rifle is pure B.S.
The only reason it is done is to justify whenever the press calls it that is to justify the use of the semi automatic.
So if you are going to assault a target you can't do it with a semi automatic?

In other news my favorite grocery store has banned open carry in their establishments. Which is fine with me. I may be pro-gun but I don't want to see some yayhoo with a sidearm on his or her hip while I'm picking out my groceries.

It depends on whether your state allows open carry or concealed.
It it's concealed you won't see it.

There is a town near me. A guy spent the night in jail for assault with a hockey stick. Look up assault in the dictionary then you will know the difference.
