In case you missed it a young man entered a Walmart with a semiautomatic rifle with 100 rounds wearing a bulletproof vest and walked about pushing a shopping cart. Finally the manger pushed the fire alarm and the patrons started leaving. So, once again the guy walks right in to the store with a rifle and no one says/does anything!!! I was thinking about this before I saw it meaning what would be the response if a person did what this man did with no intention of harming anyone? He is charged with making a terrorist threat. But he threatened no one.
Now consider this fact, he was legal because the MO. law states they can carry weapons as long as they are not carried in a threatening manner. This law is true in many states. So it seems the legislatures have painted themselves in to a corner. One, a person can walk in to a store or picnic area or anyplace permitted to carry and walk around with a loaded M16 or AK47 and there is nothing anyone can do. Then that person decides to start killing everyone. It will be interesting to see how this pans out in court but I don't see a conviction if he did not break the current laws.
