More server problems. We do not know when or if it will get resolved at this point. The software is old and the server hosting company is not reliable.

I have not heard anything from Ken, and it has me concerned. I emailed him a week ago when the forum first went down and he has not responded, and has not posted anything on our Facebook page either, so all I have is assumptions right now. I know that he has to contact the server people and they have to get it working again, but I have not heard anything from Ken to know if that is happening or not.
He was really discouraged the last time the servers quit, because our forum software is very old and the server company is basically worthless.
As far as I know, he is doing okay healthwise. He has been wearing his Apple Watch and said he was walking several miles each day.

I am looking at another small forum that might work for us instead, but I have no way to contact most of our members.
A lot of us are either already members here, or used to be at one time; so some people may come here if our home forum does not come back online again.
As you know, @hollydolly , I have written on both forum for over 10 years now, and enjoy both places.

I really hope Ken is "OK". It is going on two weeks with the forum being down. But it would be nice if he would post on the FB SOC members page to let members know what is going on with the forum. OR perhaps tell “someone” and have them post what the heck is going on, whether it is a software or forum hosting problem. OR, if he just wants to shut it down and doesn’t want to be responsible for a forum any longer. Members are concerned about him and I would think it would be common courtesy to let someone know what is going on so everyone would know how to move forward to another forum such as this one, if need be.

I apologize to this senior forum and members here for voicing my opinion and concerns on your site. If you feel this is inappropriate to talk about another senior forum on here, feel free to delete it. I certainly will understand. I would have done a private message to a couple of familiar voices here to ask my question, but I could not locate or figure out where the private messaging was on my account. :unsure: Oy! :rolleyes:🙃

I only ask because new people can't send PM's.. so I thought maye if you just joined that could be the reason you can't send a PM... but as that's not the case you will find the PM's if you click on the members' name, and then click ''start conversation''...
 
I tried contacting Ken as well on FB as Happy flower lady knows. We all are getting quite concerned. I do know he was supposed to be moving, but, as I understood it, not too far away from where they lived now. I hardly ever went there as so many of the old timers were gone for one reason or another. I did keep in contact with one person via pm who used to be here, but left to only stay over there. I am sure I have her personal e-mail, but never took it off the message she sent it on. Now I cannot get back there, and neither can anyone else.
