Want a job as a Proof Reader?

I love to write... Sometimes the mis-use of grammar is IMO more appropriate. Being in Texas, often in my writing I'll use "fixin", "ain't", "gonna", etc. in conveying a thought. But to me, punctuation is pretty cut and dried and set in stone.

One other thing....... I don't know how many pieces of writing I didn't finish reading due to the fact that the writer maintained one LONG paragraph. It just turns me off and IMO diminishes the thoughts that the writer is trying to pass along.

Not really. I've been a professional editor for more than 25 years. I very much doubt computer technology will eradicate proofreading. Spell check helps but is not infallible: Think marital vs. martial, undeserved vs. underserved, and so on. Spell check does not catch these because it doesn't look at context. I've tried Grammarly, and it catches some technical errors, but most of its other suggestions are wrong. Just about every publishing service prohibits its use.
I absolutely agree with you @KSav (hence the laughing emojis). Your job is safe.

I'll start taking AI seriously when a computer can reliably test its own logic. As long as my car's nav system occasionally tells me to turn left in the middle of a narrow bridge, I'll remain skeptical. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:
