Along with all the isms we already contend with, PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) has introduced Speciesism.
PETA wants you to stop bringing home the bacon and start bringing home the bagels,
"Just as it is unacceptable to use racist, homophobic, phrases that trivialize cruelty to animals will vanish as more people begin to appreciate animals for who they are," Peta contends.
Instead of saying, "Beating a dead horse", they recommend, "Feeding a fed horse", Don't "Kill two birds with one stone", instead, "Feed two birds with one scone", instead of, "Be the Guinea Pig", use, "Be the Test Tube".
Can you think of any sayings that need changing?

Slow news day? This isn't new for peta. They've been doing this for a long time. About 15 years ago they got a snippet in the news about wanting to rename fish sea kittens. Why would I care what they want to say about anything?

Oh dear, this reminds me of a terrible fix that I put my daughter in. She had only every heard me refer to PETA as "People Eating Tasty Animals" and did not know the actual name. She volunteered that in school when the teacher asked if anyone knew what PETA stood for. Oops...

Thank goodness someone's looking out for the poor animals! I've been saying for years how unfair it is that sports teams profit off animal and fishes names. Bears, Dolphins, Hornets, Penguins, Raptors, etc. So, so, unfair.
