Wanting to die

Wanting to die is simply projecting into the future when it is obvious the present is unsatisfactory.

Mr. Ed, just had a peek at your profile and seeing that I too hope that this is just a comment and not the way you feel personally.

Since we do not know until death happens you could say that the future might also prove unsatisfactory.

Death is imminent, but not today. Stop worrying about "what ifs" and live for the moment. Life is a gift shared by many, but only appreciated by those that make the most of it. You can spend your time worrying or spend it enjoying what life has to offer. What will you decide?

Mr.Ed, you have obviously thought of ending your life. When I was in intensive care, after being hospitalized for months, I also wanted to die. Even laying in bed, I figured out a way to end my life. I just never got the opportunity. Have you figured out a way to end it?

Mr Ed is not thinking of death, he is only putting out thoughts, nothing wrong with that.
I scuba dive too Mr Ed, how are your lessons going?
I notice from your profile you were born in France. I was born in Hawaii, but spent many many years with my Grandparents in Lyon. They lived in Lyon for generations. Which part of France are you from. You need not answer my questions, if you do not want to. Bon sante!

I agree Shero. Mr. Ed enjoys Psychology and threads that make people think. He's simply offering his definition of what it means to want to die, hoping to spark an in-depth discussion on what thought-process brings people to say they want to die. It's a valid curiosity, though quite dark.

Maybe it's a Halloween thing as all the horror thriller "death" movies will begin with October 1st thru the end of October. I won't be watching!

Mr. Ed's definition leaves out the word "past" though. Regrets and guilt and bad memories are often the culprit so can't be omitted from the definition. Everyone has a different reason I suppose so it can't be defined in one sentence...as I see it anyway.

It's a thread that is destined to be grim if it continues. And some will be into it. Not me though.
I'll stay in my rose garden (avatar lol)
