Pardon me? Totally false and hurtful statement. They were all told they had to be 50+ to join. I had no way of confirming on my site their age. To even insinuate that I encouraged underage members to join is ludicrous to say the least.

I believe an apology is in order here but I won't hold my breath.

My take on the "he said, she said" dispute:
Right now we’re dealing with two conflicting statements and no independent way to verify either one. It's possible the new members may have misunderstood the qualification, or they may have been truthful. The member accused of inviting under‑50s may also be truthful when she says she only invited people she believed were over 50. Logically, it doesn't make much sense why anyone would purposefully invite people to join a senior forum if you knew for certain they weren't seniors.

Since we don’t have verifiable evidence one way or the other, it isn’t rational to declare anyone guilty of wrongdoing. At most, we can say the situation is unclear. Making assumptions about someone’s intent without proof isn’t fair to anyone involved.

I'm going to have to back HD up here... the most recent underaged member was "welcomed" by the one giving the invitation after stating he figured we'd let him in anyhow. So no question... everyone knew his age because he stated he was under 50... and still welcomed because the people from the defunct forum "wanted to stay together." Hello from Finland

I was going back and forth in my head wondering if I should speak up, but have to... and "Finland" isn't the only one.

Well, from what I read, he understood that this was a forum for people over 50, and was hoping to be let in. He didn't say how he acquired that information. The invitation may have stipulated that, we don't know. Even if Jazzy along with others welcomed him doesn't negate that the original invitation was conditional. He hoped to join, even knowing the rules, and politely left when told they weren't bendable.

As I said previously, I think this is a case of misunderstanding that has been blown out of proportion. No need for drama.
