Watch Out for COVID Scams

I get a kick our of ads that have been redesigned for Corona.
The Stanley Steamer floor-cleaning Co. ad now includes: "We get your floors cleaner & more sanitized to kill viruses & bacteria so your family is safe."
There are ads for Ultra Violet lights that kill viruses.
 
Well, today I'm running errands & on a busy street corner, a woman is holding up a sign: "Masks - $5.00."

Next to her is a box filled with loose paper masks. (the useless ones we're required to wear in public buildings)

That corner just happens to be a block from a large hospital & doctor's office complex. On every floor of that building, every few feet are dispensers on the wall filled with masks & gloves.
I wonder where she got them? I also wonder how many she sold....
 
I saw another one reported on TV this morning. Someone calls you and says your (insert a dearly loved relative here) health insurance has lapsed and they need a respirator desperately. If you give them your bank account info, they will see (insert a dearly loved relative here) is sure to get one.

You think if your (dearly loved relative here) was that sick, you'd know about it.
