Watched Shock and Awe last night

Watched Shock and Awe. It was about how little oversight US citizens have over the decision made by the US government. Not many years before the US entered into war with Iraq and Afghanistan this country was involved in preventing communism from entering the state by waging war against the people of VietNam.

Although VietNam was not distinguished by having Weapons of Mass Destruction it was similarly put into play under false pretenses by US government to prevent communist from spreading over south-east Asia.

US citizenship doesn't carry the respect of elected officials who seem unleashed and doing as they please. News and media reporting seldom an accurate picture of what is really going on with high rankling government officials that was spun and sanitized to prevent the whole truth from being known?

It is a sad state of affairs that from lack of unity and distrust this nation will fall. And we did it to ourselves.

The government isn't an "it", it's a "them"- people just like us. Yes, people in the government have authority and power, but they are responsive to whatever a popular majority desires. Any politician, who doesn't address "constituent issues" isn't getting re-elected. Those "constituent issues" are our responsibility, which few of us take on. The Vietnam War was a project of the "government", but it was with the initial support of most of us.
