We got unexpected rain today and I thought-where do flies go when it rains?

We always have a lot of flies in summer. Today it rained, no flies, so where are they? I was curious enough to google the answer, which I won‘t put here. But have you ever wondered where they disappear to? Do you know where the flies go?

Most of them probably came in my house. My son is sealing my windows. We've been covered up with them.
I hate flies in the house, I hunt them down right away!

They go to find those really tiny towels & umbrellas......

They seem to seek out moisture. One Spring, I found a fly on the inside window sill that must have hibernated inside over winter. It was drinking water from condensation on the window. I didn't have the heart to kill it. I think I put it outside.

You are very kind. I hate flies, HATE them. Kill them all. 😆

Not anymore, but when my gang where little one and entering and exiting the porch umpteen hundreds of times a day, we'd get flies, and they'd congregate on the window in the kitchen, because the kitchen is first room next to the porch.

Leading up to a rain storm, there would be (at times) dozens, and I'd use my vacuum to suck them up!
