Sounds awful hd! I would have had a heart attack probably!Keep away from the windows.... hopefully all will be well, and it'll pass you by.
I remember the last Tornado we had in Spain, I was home alone, it took the roof of my house including the 7 feet wide Satellite dish.. and flattened 2 Palm trees in my front garden.. terrifying...
Yikes! Poor doggie! Sounds bad. We have been having waterspouts in Lake Erie nearby lately.A tornado can ruin your whole day. We had one that started as a waterspout in the gulf, then it came ashore and tore off a chunk of our roof.
We were not home at the time and our little 4 pound Chihuahua was very distressed. The fire dept came and nailed plastic over the opening to keep the pouring rain out.
I have to tell you Ruthanne, I was absolutely petrified, and I'm no feeble little girl if you see what I mean, but I was scared witless.. I really thought my end was nighSounds awful hd! I would have had a heart attack probably!
I would have felt the same way, I'm sure, it's an extremely frightening thing! And I'm a pretty strong girl, too.I have to tell you Ruthanne, I was absolutely petrified, and I'm no feeble little girl if you see what I mean, but I was scared witless.. I really thought my end was nigh
Thanks. I think it has passed but am still wary.Echoing what they are all saying. Stay safe!
Ruin your day-does being blow into the next county count as ruining your day?A tornado can ruin your whole day.
Oh Don, I hope everything will be ok and it doesn't effect you and your family. Those warnings are scary. We've been under a "tornado watch" since mid afternoon, as a couple of strong fronts passed through the area. There was a confirmed sighting about 40 miles from us, and several in the NW part of Missouri....which caused some minor damage. Luckily, all we got was about an hour of fairly heavy rain and some strong wind gusts. It's kind of late in the year for these kinds of storms....another sign of how the weather seems to be changing.
Scary, you bet, always had a very casual regard for warnings until these tornadoes starting bouncing around in the winter months.Oh Don, I hope everything will be ok and it doesn't effect you and your family. Those warnings are scary.
I agree!Scary, you bet, always had a very casual regard for warnings until these tornadoes starting bouncing around in the winter months.
April-June, was the scare time, now it is unknown: winter, summer, autumn and spring.
