Gosh, that is so very long to be dealing with the water problem.
I have wondered if they were making any progress for you. I'm very glad to read your update, and that you are continuing to be as resourceful as you always are.
It's great that you got a break, and were able to enjoy a little soap and water!!!

From what I was told, years ago, by someone who had credentials, the tiny amount of bleach kills stuff, while it all evaporates out of it,
but I am not an expert, myself.

I believe the disinfecting properties diminish after three days.

Hallelujah (or we Muslims say Alhamdullilah!)...the boil water advisory was finally lifted yesterday!! Right in time too because I was running out of the jugs of water my son had brought and his car is in the shop. @Kaila I was hoping it would be around this time as they had projected. It must've taken them almost two weeks after the reservoir was cleaned to flush all of the lines. Then they tested the water for a couple of days. I'm really glad things are back to normal but the announcement came with a warning that we are vulnerable to another contamination event and it's not if but when.

Sounds like they did things right, you should be safe now.

I am enjoying, believe me Pinky! I'm glad your water wasn't turned off for a longer amount of time. We sometimes have that happen in our co-op when certain repairs need to be done.

@AnnieA Thank you. I actually got to shower early this month because I stayed at our timeshare in Atlantic City for 4 days. Boy...was I happy to hop in that shower!
