We men are fragile beings

Do you recall the super hero character called He-Man? Why in the world would the character industry create an image and call it He-Man? The name implies a gender uncertainty to the point of duel male reference in the characters name: He-Man.

Some men have the tenderest of souls. One must always be kind. Men need gentleness, softness, sweetness.
it's the men who are simple, honest, straightforward who are most vulnerable to being hurt from an unkind word.

IMO
By virtue of the fact that men are human beings too, I agree that they do have all the sensitivities and warts that being human includes. Men and women are human beings, different but equal.

You might think that, but it's usually the contrary. Macho-men come down to earth with an almighty bump, yet those tenderest souls prove to be far more resilient.

I think a person is either/or despite physical appearances. the essence of being male or female is grounded within the persons identity in which one will dominate the other.

Yes, ‘sometimes’ it’s the macho men who often hide their true feelings so when they get hurt they can’t handle it as well as the men who have learned to be vulnerable. ( just my personal opinion )

Being vulnerable is one way of saying it, but I prefer using being open.

Very well then. Being open and honest about who you are is being vulnerable in my opinion.
That’s being brave. It’s so much easier to go along with the crowd.
Pivotal moments of my life included going outside, going inside the grocery store with my wife, asking to volunteer at local library while not being in public for 34 years, teaching myself how to drive, forcing myself into social situations when paranoia told me stay home and isolate.

People do brave things is when incentive overrides fear.

Congratulations!
I can definitely relate.
Mine wasn’t 34 years but I understand the fear
👍
I shall start writing down your last sentence in my journal. That’s a good reminder.
