so true. At school if we got hurt, the teacher with the medical knowledge, only ever gave out 2 aspirin regardless of the issue. . We used to joke that if we broke our legs, she'd do no more than give those 2 aspirin...we got thirsty playing outside so we drank out of the hose. We rarely missed school, mother gave us 2 aspirins no matter why we didn't feel good, and sent us off to walk a couple of miles in good weather or bad.
Growing up on our farm it had a 4 seater out house. One spring so much rain that it filledOn a trip back to see the family in 1961 Ok & Ark. one group only had an outhouse. I was so scared to use it I made Grandpa go check for spiders and snakes in it so none would bite my butt. Probably the fastest potty break in history.
Probably why I don't go to outdoor events that use only those. I just know at some point before me some "think I'm being funny" person is in there whizzing all over everything.Growing up on our farm it had a 4 seater out house. One spring so much rain that it filled
with water and skat. Culdn’t sit in it. Had to go in the house, take off my shoes and use
the throne in thar. when they are full, really a bad experience. Out House had to be drug
off and the pit cleaned out with buckets to the manure spreader and put on a unused
5 acres of land. Port-a potties are sorta gross too! I skip Hucks Motor marts too cause of
the mess on the floors.
Thankfully there are the Sewer Sucking Services now!
in filthy places and barnyards to have their systems deal with its filth. Their saying farm
the home in the bushes. Those bushes did well! ….Probably why I don't go to outdoor events that use only those. I just know at some point before me some "think I'm being funny" person is in there whizzing all over everything.
While I was highschool aged we lived in a town that had a military academy and also a reform school outside of the other side of town.Believe it or not, I got into a lot of fist fights. That was one of the reasons why my dad threw me into military school for three years. Biggest mistake and regret I made at that time was not finishing my senior year there. Dumb, dumb, dumb.
I never had any regrets about the fights I was in, but I was 12, 13 and 14. I didn’t care. Remember how thick a Pepsi bottle was? I broke a bottle over a kid’s head and when he laid there for what seemed like ever, I ran home and told my mom what I did. My dad was somewhere fighting a war. He was in the Army all his life. I didn’t know where he was most of the time. While I was highschool aged we lived in a town that had a military academy and also a reform school outside of the other side of town.
People used to say that the military academy was a weathy kids reform school.
I knew which one I would be going to if I got in trouble.
I didn’t like to fight but got pushed into one and knocked a guy out.
Thought for a little while that I killed him.
Was never so happy in my life as when he woke up.
He missed a few days of working in the fields and had a big lump on his head.
It was all so stupid! Just a guy wanting to show that he was tougher than I was.
I guess you can tell how much that affected me by the way I go on about it.
As I grew up I wasn't big enough to bully people around but I was ok at Basketball - baseball - football. While I was highschool aged we lived in a town that had a military academy and also a reform school outside of the other side of town.
