This was very unexpected in northern New Jersey. Around 1 AM last night I heard loud claps of thunder. My Grandpa use to say it was the breaking up of the summer/fall weather. I guess he was right. The hubby went out for the Sunday paper and said there was 3" to 4" of snow in some places. Really beautiful though. Better now than on Thanksgiving Day when folks might have to travel.tree seniors.jpg

Very pretty Ruth!

We received about an inch of snow overnight and it's lightly snowing now.

Lovely photo Ruth, we had our first snow a few days ago, still a couple of inches on the grassy areas. I love the four seasons, and love the first snow.....especially now that I don't have to drive to work in it before daylight. :p

Ruth, Great picture of the first snow in your area.
No snow here yet but it could happen at any time.

Last night it rained and today is mild but it's late in November so the
temperature could change at any time and we could see some of the white
fluffy stuff.

So pretty. CT was expecting some today but only a few flurries early this morning actually fell.
I'm ready though, I bought a new snow shovel the other day, one of those "ergonomically designed" types-

shovel.jpegIt's actually for my grandson to use, I don't go there.

Nice photo Ruth. We had snow last night, too, but because of the lake-effect where I live it didn't stick. I am sure others south of me have it on the ground, though.

Yes Ruth, it sucks...80 degrees then instant snow...shoot me now, I have to walk to work tomorrow and have to borrow son's jacket. Artic was unexpected.

And just hear those jet engines roar as the snowbirds leave for Florida...:eek:nthego:
