I am in central New York State and boooy, is it cold out there! Snow all day, stopped now but more coming. I saw the temp where I am and it is -3!!

I have tehe heat set at 70 and it is cold in here. Guess I'll go crawl under my comforter and sleep.

Supposed to snow here again in Jersey. I'll believe it when I see my first snow flake. Little boys who tell lies grow up to be weathermen according to my dear mom, and I believe she was 100% correct.

Not as cold as some of you, but still chilly. Some years we get no snow all winter, other times we’ll get 6-8 inches. Last last winter was one such time.

I am a good hour of Southeast of you and my weather is pretty much the same as yours.

Being from the OH/PA border originally I will take this weather even though my arthritis doesn’t like it very well. My brother texted me to say he woke up to 4.5° this morning. Yes there is a decimal point between the four and the five and that was the real temperature. He said they don’t expect to get out of the 30s all week long probably not even above freezing.

He lives right on the cusp of sometimes they get Lake Affect weather and sometimes they don’t. That weather he is experiencing is precisely why I chose to retire down here. I would not want to be worrying about frozen water at the barn and trying to get my horses fed in that weather. I did do it when I was young, but I am too old to deal with that much of an extreme temperature for such a long period of time.

Not sure what may be coming but here at the coast it's bright sunshine this morning with the temp. on our back porch reading 21 degrees.

Currently 26 here in Maryland (north of DC, so probably different weather than the southern or coastal parts of the state). I think the light snow might have stopped, though the flakes have been so tiny sometimes its hard to tell when it is snowing).
There is a bit of snow covering grass, tree limbs, etc., but the road and walkways look clear (not sure if anything was applied to them).
I freaked out about the snow ahead of time and went to the store yesterday, but I forgot I could take the community shuttle, I need to remember I'm not in rural Nebraska anymore! ha
