Weiner rollups for snacks or parties

Pillsbury makes the dough. It's almost like a puff pastry. It comes in a can.

Just unroll the dough and place one wiener in the middle of the rectangular square and then roll up pressing the seam.

Bake in about 350 oven until nicely browned on a greased cookie sheet.

One can makes six rollups. I like it with a hot mustard dip. But I suppose any dip to your liking could be used.

Cut them into pieces and then with a toothpick. and serve them a hor de'oevures. Can be warmed up. I'm guessing you can use breakfast sausages as well.

I haven't had these for ages. We used to serve them at parties.weinerrollup.jpg

As a young guy, I had some trouble with my weiner roll up, while partying, on a few occasions. It had more to do with failing to let it rise, naturally, over time, than any other actual mistakes I made prior to inserting it......into the oven.

I don't remember anything remotely like that. Of course now they have barbecues.:devilish:

Can I add a tip that I learned long ago? I always keep hotdogs in the freezer, and learned this recipe works better if the hotdogs are cooked first. Otherwise, the pastry is fine but the hotdogs are still cold.
