I can't emphasize enough how much I look forward to the Autumn season and I know I am not alone in that sentiment. Even in a place like Phoenix I notice a change in the air. I can actually sit outside in the morning and enjoy my first cup of coffee without melting. So good riddance Summer. I'm sure you will be missed by some but not by me !

MarkinPhx - It was nice to have my Bloody Mary on the patio this morning here in Sun City West! Technically, Autumn doesn't arrive until 1:02 pm today. I'm ready

I too loooove the fall, it's cooling down nicely here and I embrace the season! :love_heart:

Autumn has always been my favourite season with warm sunny days and cool nights so good for sleeping.
The trees turn to such lovely colours, especially the maples, and are usually at their best at our Thanksgiving in October.

I'm in Northern New Jersey and it is still very warm and humid. It will be this way for the rest of the week so they say. Now I'm looking forward to cooler weather. Much to do outside before I hibernate for the winter. Windows to wash and screens to put away, remnants of my veggie and flower gardens to put to bed and I like to pull all my garden tools etc. out of the shed and hose the whole thing down and make sure it is critter proof before closing it up. Last year the mice found my roll of paper towels and shredded it for nests all through the winter.

Just got back from a walk with doggie in our small piney wood. Beautiful pine cones all over. Picked up 3 on my way back and got resin on my hand. Smelled so nice.

You would think I'd know better than to wash my hands in hot soapy water after growing up playing in the woods! But Noooo, all I did was spread it all over each hand. Had to get the "Goo Gone" out. I left the cones on the back steps.

This summer has been a mixture of heat, rain, and lots of humidity with either one, and mosquitoes almost too thick to see through. We have a nice little front deck; but it has been impossible to nicely sit out there this summer at all.
Hopefully, we will have a nice fall and not just jump right into winter like happened out in Montana and some of the other western states.
They were reporting forest fires one day, and blizzards the next day. That was good for stopping the forest fires; but still a shock to people when the weather just seemed to forget about Fall altogether.

I, for one, an VERY glad to see this summer ending. It was a terribly hot and uncomfortable summer here and I do not deal well with the heat at all. It is so refreshing to feel the cooldown in the evening and the early mornings, and to go out in midday without feeling you are in a blast furnace.

I really feel for you guys in AZ -- 106 degrees here just about did me in, and I can't imagine dealing with 115!

Bring on the fall. Still hot and humid and in the 90's here in Houston. Supposed to have a cool front next weekend. Will be in the 80's.

happyflowerlady thank you for mentioning us po oldies in montana. the weather changed about 30 degrees in one day and as in the photo snowed. the firefighters had to put on winter clothing to fight the fires even with the rain/snow mix helping

Welcome autumn 2018.....feels good to slowly leave that heat behind and watch the leaves turn and fall.

Fall is a nice changer up from humid summer days, some very pretty colors and great camping weather up till November then its time to give up the tents and look into renting a cabin. :)

I have a wreath I made for last year's fall season. I'm going to spruce it up and add some greenery to it this year.

Time to pack away the tent now, at least here in western Maine. The temp was 45F outside, early this morning and 53F in the cabin before we lit the fire. The day itself was beautiful. Sunny with a light breeze and the temp topped out in the low 60's. A view looking across the lake.
