Welcome To Coffee Corner

As opposed to the Northeast where the only acknowledged spices are salt and ketchup..
great on a chunk of surfwax so that they can remain near the lineup in the pumping swells of a storm. not satisfying but sure beat sand. which turned out to be nutritious if boiled and filtered into soup (tiny mollusks.) ketchup and pepper were a luxury but the saltiness was over the top.

speaking of which, does anyone else occasionally put salt in their coffee? picked up the tradition in flanders, and it rounds out the flavors a bit... somewhat similar to umami.

try some in the chili... mine's so spicy i have to go cowboy with the ash of a whole cigar! (tames the acid)

gotta realize that while yer eatin' my cooking... you ARE the experiment.
I may try some in chili....which I haven't made in a long time! It sounds good, thanks.

I used to make chili with bittersweet chocolate from a recipe found on Bon Appetit magazine.

Not going near your chili with cigar ash! o_O

I'm from NY :)
had a place upstate at 17, along with others on chicago's mag mile, as well as jax beach fla so i was all up'n down that coast with my thumb out. the way to make new friends in the day.

always said o'hair airport was my favorite surf spot because i could always go anywhere from chicago... given ample amounts of coffee (of course 😉)
