Welcome to Facebook's New 50-Person Video Chat

I'd like to check it out but it says I have to turn off my ad-blocker. Help me. I don't understand about ad-blocker. Can this be turned back on again or is it a bad thing to have it turned off? Can someone explain because I'm rather a novice. Thanks!
 
It's a personal choice, but I don't view anything that asks me to turn off ad-blocker.
You can always Google it to find out if there any issues with it.

It could be safe - I'm just paranoid because I had someone hack my computer while on Facebook, last year. It was by someone who said they were a friend of someone I knew. I believed it. Shouldn't have. I no longer accept "friends". The thing is, that was the only time I accepted a "friend" request. I have only people I really know in my very short list of contacts.
