waited too long for what ?It seems my mail-boy has been in hospital all week!! wondered why he'd not picked
up mail lately, his Mom sez they waited too long and he got infection, so has to
stay in longer....poor little guy....
oh sorry. waited to long to take the appendix out, so it busted, and they now have to watch him for problems.....waited too long for what ?

Same here. I was aged 13, at school, the matron kept me in believing I just had indigestion and finally when I'd been writhing in agony for ages, decided to call a doctor. Who said 'get this boy to hospital at once!' I had a burst appendix and peritonitis and was in hospital for four weeks. When I got back to school next term the matron had the nerve to say she'd saved my life rather than nearly ending it.
