Wendy Williams has dementia?

First let me say that I have never been a fan of Wendy Williams. I always found her abrasive. However, I've been seeing on the news that her disappearance from the small screen has been due to dementia. Regardless of her demeanor, it is sad that someone so young is dealing with such issues. Apparently, there is a 4-episode documentary coming up that details her struggles. I won't be watching it, but it is sad. What is also sad is that the network and her relatives are making money from her situation.

Another person partially known in the business is Jay Leno’s wife. She‘s 73. I really don’t know much about her, other than he’d talk about Mavis.

I started watching the documentary. I think it is excellent, so far, riveting. While not an avid watcher of Wendy, I have never disliked her either, and many times found her amusing. Whatever. The doc is good, her family loves her and she passionately loves them.

Regardless, such a diagnosis is terrible, and it's got to be frightening. I hope she can find some peace.

I have a friend that just started with Dementia. How come he isn’t in the headlines? He means more to me than Wendy Williams, although I am sorry for anyone that has to deal with these types of illnesses.

My friend can tell some stories and he really messes them up. It’s like he lived a second life I never knew about.

I've only watched Wendy's show a few times and had no opinion of her either way. Still, it's sad for anyone facing this condition. I wish her well.

My sister had dementia before she died but she was older than Wendy. Her daughter called me when she was having a lucid day near the end and we had a wonderful chat. I am so grateful to have that memory.

After watching my mother experience Dementia for so many years, I prefer not making a comment.

Exactly. After caring for my parents, who had dementia in different stages throughout the years, I refrain from commenting. It’s a very disturbing thing to witness and not any fault of their own.
