View attachment 1286This is a picture from the NASA official webpage, and was taken by the Mars rover. This is an enlarged part of the whole picture.
If you look at the large photo in the link below , on the left side towards the front, and zoom in, you can plainly see what looks like the fossilized vertebra of a large creature. This picture was apparently taken from what is presumed to be an old lake bed, so this could actually be some sort of a large sea creature.
NASA has their scientists checking out these photos, and has not yet come out (publicly) with an explanation of what they believe them to be.
