I'm a sure bet to win this month's Darwin Award.

I noticed while using the deep fryer that it was getting a lot of gunk in it so I decided to strain the oil to clean the gunk out. I got a colander and folded the cheesecloth to fit. I started pouring the oil through the cheesecloth when I finally realized I'd forgot to put the colander in the bowl. Oil running all over the counter and dripping to the floor, it was a mess.

I got it cleaned up in a couple of hours and the floor really shines.

i was going to make turkey soup one year after thanksgiving--when i was straining it i forgot to put a bowl under it- so i am left with a bowl of bones

I once closed a kitchen cabinet door on the push button of a can of baking spray. The next day I discovered the entire contents of the can expended inside the cabinet. Only benefit was that it induced me to replace the shelf paper.....an overdue task.
