What’d you have for dinner?

Ron grilled ribeyes that I’d been marinating for the afternoon with Dale’s and fresh ground pepper. I steamed some broccoli and the last of the red and green peppers from the garden, and sautéed the leftover noodles from last nights spaghetti with butter, garlic, and freshly grated Parmesan cheese. Delicious!!

What about you?

Just finished a turkey burger, leftover green and yellow squash w/melted cheese and pumpkin seeds, and a small just lettuce salad.
It was good....cant decide if i should have my ice cream now or later. :)

Haven`t had dinner yet-it`s 5:42 here. We will be going to our regular place tonight-it`s a casino. Getting a little tired of it but it`s the only good place in town right now. Many places that weren`t offering indoor dining still are not. But tomorrow night we have rezzies at our favorite steakhouse in the neighboring county that just reopened this week. Well worth the 30 minute drive-we`ve been going for 30 years now.

I had a good clean out of my recipe drawer a few days ago and came across this recipe I’d torn out of a magazine ...so I made it for our tea ( evening meal ) last night it was so nice it’s on the list to have again
I used thickish slices of sourdough pumpkin seed bread ,I spread with garlic butter ....(on one side ) then toasted the un buttered side under the grill ,I buy green prawns and cook them myself as I think they are much nicer ..I also make my own 6871CF4D-B7A8-4162-83A0-5AFACCC0CAA1.jpegcocktail sauce in preference to stuff in jars

what's a prawn?

Leftover prime rib, fresh potatoes off the garden, fresh beets off the garden, and a simple tomato and oregano with Asiago cheese salad.

Sear-roasted marinated filet mignon. Brown rice/quinoa side seasoned with roasted red peppers. Homemade Greek salad: english cucumbers, red onions, Castelvetrano olives, in a vinaigrette of Meyer lemon juice and fig balsamic vinegar.

It takes a couple of days for the salad ingredients to meld flavors but it keeps very well in the fridge, so I make up a big batch and that way the veggie side is taken care for 3-4 days!
