India Pale Ale- a strong beerWhat’s an IPA?
Ranch water cocktail sounds interestingAround here at our BBQ cook-offs, the guys love their Light Beers, and also Ranch Water (cocktail)
None of it for me though.
For those that don't know....India Pale Ale was brewed in Britain, to be able to survive the VERY long voyage to India, where it was issued to British Army soldiers. It was made so that it wouldn't go "off " in transit around the horn of Africa, in the days before the Suez Canal was built. Drinking beer was a lot safer than drinking the local water, in India.
