Just this last week, I met a bloke I've not seen for 40 years.
We were remembering the 'Festival of Britain' in 1951 when we were 13/14 years old, and how people all over the country had parties in the street to celebrate the rebuilding of Britain after the destruction caused by 'The Blitz' in WW2.
His Mam, Lizzie was a fabulous singer and his Dad (Harry) was a brilliant piano player. We were remembering his Mam mimicking Pricilla Lane from the 1939 film 'The Roaring Twenties' when she sang 'Wild about Harry'.
