What’s the most annoying noise?

Sirens, although it's been pretty quiet recently. Near a fire station; hospital emergency room; police station and an older population keeps siren noise usually too plentiful.

Obnoxiously loud car mufflers or straight-pipes on Harleys  We all get it ... you're a legend in your own mind but there's no need to keep reminding us that you're an idiot as you fly by us at full throttle.

It would have to be my little dog, Toby. He was adopted from a rescue after being found in a field, during a winter rain storm. He was just a big tangled mass of hair with teeth. Of course, he was all cleand up and groomed. Looked so sweet and cute, so he came home with me.

Did not make a sound when I met him. As soon as he got home he showed me why he was abandoned. This dog has the highest, shrillest bark I have ever heard. Most people could not take it for one day. I am happy to report he has been happy, barking and making me laugh for five years.

I live on the city so...

Car alarms in the middle of the night.
Power lawn and brush cutting equipment all day long or at least an hour.

The Ice Cream truck with its repetitive tune.

The cars that double park with a stereo going boom boom boom

Cats in heat just outside my windows.

OMG! Mr Softee!! should be outlawed at certain times of the day... even in summer. when i was a kid, $ for the ice cream man was NOT an everyday treat. and i'm sure if that truck rolled down our street right around dinner time, a request for a dime would have been rejected.

I don’t know what’s the most annoying noise is, but the best noise is a Rolls Royce jet engine starting. They have a very distinctive sound that I love hearing. If it was on my plane, I knew I was going to have a great trip.
