What’s the most you’ve paid for a haircut/hairdo?

Actually my last one... $50...
She had been cutting my hair for many years for $10, some times free,
Wife had spent about 3 hours there once dye perm style and she charged $25
She stopped a few years back due to health reasons and we missed her.
Was pleased to get a message from her that she was back to working....
She charged me $10... I gave her $50

The most i've paid for a cut is 30.00. Was starting to get frustrated.......seemed like everytime she came back from a holiday, she upped her price.......and quite often she was doing her version of my cut, not mine.
Another hairdresser in the same salon, was charging 18.00.......guess what, i changed......i like what she does with my cut, is consistent every time.

In my previous life, I paid a lot. I have very thick hair and wear it long (not super long) so when I get it colored it takes two packages. I always paid close to a hundred dollars, even if I went to Walmart. They charge extra for long hair and for two packages, of course. Now I pay $30. to have it cut and I color it myself with two packages at home.

The woman who use to cut my hair charged $25,she was wonderful, but then she moved out of state to be closer to her family
I started going to Super Cuts, been there ever since,my haircut now costs around $20

$45 (once, special occasion)... otherwise $35.

For years I enjoyed the luxury of going to a neighbour that did hair-dressing and beauty out of the basement of her home, and she used to charge a flat rate of $10 for neighbours like myself.

Loved being able to waltz across the way in my house clothes to get a cut or trim, and be back home in my kitchen 40 minutes later.

Dear husband get's his hair cut once every 2-3 months, and he pays $25.

A friend raved and raved about her very fancy hairdresser until she talked me into going to him. This was years ago and I think it was about $50. Yow. For that I got a head massage, a glass of white wine and one of the worst haircuts I've ever had.

For years, I paid a little more for haircuts because the salon I was going to was run by a drag queen and his buddies. I would have paid twice as much just for the entertainment factor. I had a great time there. Then, he decided to go be a butcher, for some reason and gave up the salon.

After that, it was back to $10 haircuts at the chain salon. They're up to $15-20 now, but that's good enough for me.

I DID go to the local barber. He gives a good shoulder length cut for $20.00
I stopped going because of the virus but now I've decided to let my hair grow really long.

My best friend and I used to go to "Nicholas"(just Nicholas-no last name)in San Francisco for years. It started because we both used to model for him when he owned a beauty school-pardon me,academy-near where we lived. Then he closed the "academy" and opened a salon in San Francisco,so every six weeks we would take the bay Area rapid Transit and spend the day there, getting our hair cut, having lunch and shopping. It was fun,but not cheap. Neither of us ever walked out of his salon for less than $100 and sometimes it was closer to $200. At least for me-she never did perms or color, maybe just a cellophane at most. I had perms sometimes, went bright red once (I`m blonde)and often got the bottom of my bi-level cut dyed magenta (I`m calling it a bi-level,but in realty,it was a mullet. This was back in the 80s,after all....

Nowadays,I pay 30 dollars.
