What ‘old person’ things do you do?

‘What did they say’ - just like in the commercial. It’s them, not me. 😉

It’s not something that I do, it just is. I’m that little, old woman - short and getting shorter and I have grey hair.

I use these along with my glasses to read:

Of course, I have a stigmatism in one eye, so that's part of why I need them.

Another thing I do is make a post and then forget to hit "Post reply." DOH!

I nod off in the afternoons and am awake at 2am.
And walk with a stick...
yes I'm quite capable of nodding off in the afternoon if I've got nothing much to do or if I'm watching TV, and then like you I'm up until the early hours. I've always been a night owl so I don't mind that.

I don't walk with a cane , but I do have historic lower back problems so I own 4 canes... and on the occasions when my back ''goes out''... I use them to get around the house, and help me get out off the sofa

When we first moved in to our condo in 1988, there was a much older guy who used to come to our condo so I could show him around the internet. I would be seated at my computer and he would stand next to me. His rear was at my nose level and he would just let go and not seem to notice it at all. Trying to be polite, I didn't say anything either, but was always relieved when he would have his fill of the internet and leave.

How sweet of you to help him "in spite of" the obvious odoriferous "side effects".

He was a good guy. When he died, his family held a reviewal of sorts for him. Since he was a self-proclaimed Atheist, we didn't have to sit through all the "he is in a better place..." and "I just know he is in heaven...". Instead, it was very practical with people who had worked with him attending to tell their stories from his work place, as well as those of us who knew him outside work. Needless to say, I left out his particular story. ;)

hahaha! You check the obituaries to see if they spelled your name right? hahaha!

A friend sent me a wonderful book, which I want so much to read. The printing is gray instead of black and the font size has to no more than 4. I have to wear reading glasses AND take out this stupid "ole lady" magnifying glass to read it!
But I live alone so no one can see me! hahaha!

When I'm stooping down to pick something up, or get in the bottoms cupboards, planting flowers....I always have to make sure there is something close by that I can use to help propel me back up. lol

I've used the little garden shovel that i use for planting, or a little step stool, top of the counter.

One of my favourite old timer past times is to present the exact amount, in cash, at the till, especially if there's a youngster on duty. I do it to prove that cash can be as quick as cards, but not when you present cash to someone whose mental arithmetic goes off the graph once they run out of fingers.
