What about those high school memories - ones you can repeat anyway

Friday night football and basketball games were powerful. Kids back then where very team spirited. If we had a home game on any Friday night, we would have a dance in the lobby and spin our 45’s. No DJ’s for those dances. Good times.

My first three years in high school, we won ONE, count'em, *ONE* football game. Not one per year. Oh, no, only one in the whole THREE years.

BUT, we had some great sock hops afterward. I'd have to say we made sure the thrill of the fun was snatched from the agonizing jaws of defeat.....

I went to a small Catholic high school-graduating class has 23. We only had a basketball team. In my 4 years there, we won ONE game. And yeah, the sock hops were great. I was the DJ.

I went to 13 schools in my first 12 years, always the new kid in town. My junior year in KC I went to a party the night we got our HS Annual. Just a huge group sitting around signing each other's annuals. When we moved to Tennessee for my Senior year I talked my folks in having a party to let kids come and sign their annuals. At my fiftieth year class reunion that was mentioned as one of the highlights of our senior year. Who knew it would be remembered.
