What are some small things that make your day better?

  • A quality nights sleep
  • Morning time at my own speed... no appointments, no time frames, nothing pressing to tackle, just me time
  • Doing a little bit of this, and a little bit of that through the day, then reflecting on all that I accomplished at the end of the day

A beautiful day, temperature just right with no humidity. Prefect for working outside.
Inside work and the wash is all done.
The kid that keeps pounding away on his driveway with that basketball left for the day and its to early for the neighbors to jump in their pools and have the radio blasting.
Leftovers for dinner tonight. just heat and serve.
Can't get any better than this.

This one is for you, Ruth! LOL!

@Aunt Marg that video is so mean and cruel. I'm going to come to your house in the middle of the night and steal all those old cloth diapers you've been saving for cleaning along with the cloths pins you have been hoarding for years.
It takes some doing but even this old Jersey girl can snap. lol
Actually, that is exactly how it sounds hour after hour.

ROFLMAO!

Thanks for the good laugh, Ruth! :giggle:

I know that sound, we had neighbours a few years back that had two teen boys, and the sound of the basketball on their driveway had a way of echoing all the way over to our place as if it was happening right in our very own backyard. Drove me batty. I was so happy when they moved.

Sure gives me an appreciation of the era we grew up in, where nothing seemed to bother anyone. Us kids used to play in everyone's yards, and I'm certain all of the hollering and carousing could be heard for blocks around, yet not so much as a single neighbour ever came down on us.

Boy, have times ever changed in that regard. I don't know anyone that would allow someone else's kids to play freely in their yards now.

My bunny boy doing binkys around me as I try not to run him over with my walker on the way to the bathroom.

Waking up in my apartment and knowing it is real and not a dream!

Smelling the aroma of coffee after I turn the coffee maker on.

Sonny's ringtone on my phone when he calls to tell me good morning (and I know he did not die during the night......)

My son ringing my intercom for me to let him in (then I know he is alive too).

This forum also makes my day better........I have been coming here more than fake book and it is so much nicer.

Waking up to the sound of the birds in my garden.
Sitting up in bed and sipping a cup of coffee my darling hubby brings me
Hearing him say, how's yuh going honey.
Checking for the daily texts from our children and thanking God for another day of Grace.
