What are the noble professions?

If there is such a thing as a "noble profession", it has to be of service to humanity. Everybody gots ta eat, but getting filthy rich sort of precludes one from being truly "noble". I also believe having a "noble" profession requires some dedication to service, and not just doing business as usual. I don't think Walmart is being noble by being open 24 hours/day. That's merely business. There are many, who carry on a routine business, yet because of their devotion to service are noble.
